OUR STORY

Heel The World is a luxury leather lifestyle brand that manufactures high-end bespoke men's shoes and leather accessories.

 

In 2009, Fred Deegbe Jnr, CEO, was an unhappy banker who was challenged by everyone around him that a high-end Italian shoes he was wearing could not be made in Ghana. This troubled him and he wondered how Ghanaians could start making our own airplanes if we believed we couldn’t make just one quality shoe that could rival quality Italian shoes. He started Heel The World part-time in February 2011 but quit his job by December, 2011 to pursue his dream and currently on course to create a global excellence coming from Africa.

 

At Heel The World, our mission is to be the number one high-end shoe company coming out of Africa with distribution in London, Paris, Tokyo, New York, L.A, Johannesburg, Lagos, Milan by 2018 helping empower 1000’s of African start-ups along the way.

 

Heel The World currently manufactures the most beautifully crafted quality shoes and leather accessories from leather sourced internationally. We have been successful in launching several products including the Empowerment Beads which stand for hard work resulting in the ultimate reward.

 

Heel the world has won several accolades and was recently featured on CNN African Start-ups. In 2012 we were awarded the National Youth Achievers Award in Fashion by His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama and have had the pleasure of speaking on several platforms including the World Economic Forum, African Leadership Network, MTV Base, TEDxDzorwulu etc.
